Filtering by Legend
am using a Clustered Bar Chart which has multiple entries in the legend as shown below; When I click on an entry in the legend it highlights the entries in the chart as shown below. ...
You can use the slicer visual, and i think by using this your other problem will also go away.
Add the slicer to your dashboard and add the axis from your bar chart.
Thought I'd add the solution here for anyone looking in the future, it's actually a setting that can be toggled. Doesnt need a workaround. Found it in format -> edit interactions
Change this from highlight to filter
Are you able to do this on the actual visual that has the legend though? Edit interactions typically only lets me toggle Highlight vs Filter on all the other visuals on the page, but doesn't have that option for the currently selected visual or chart.
Yeah, this isn't a solution to this problem:)
