Filtering a Slicer based on selecting a legend value

Is there a hack out there that if a user selects a Legend Value from a bar chart, it would then filter down the Slicer options.  Example,  we have a legend on Project Categories.  If I select X Category - I don't want the slicer to show all 251 projects but only the ones under X Category.

    Hi Anonymous ,

For your issue, I think it is impossible to realize in current Power BI version. At least I didn't succeed.

My Power BI Desktop version: 2.75.5649.582 64-bit (November 2019)

Here is an article about slicers, which includes when to use a slicer:

At last, when you select X Category from a bar chart, you hope to show the ones under X Category, how about use another visualization, such as a table:

As you can see, when I select A, the table shows Brand under A.

    Best Regards,

    Lionel Chen
