Filtering Data on Latest "Modified On" Date

I'm pulling data in from Dynamics and am building a simple report grid with the information.

One of the fields is "Issues/Risks." This field can have multiple entries (based on NoteText field in CRM).

I want the field to only show the latest entries by utilizing the "Modified On" date.

How can I create a column to only show me the latest entry for "Issues/Risks" by "Modified On" date?

Well, one of the solutions that come on mind is this:

1. In Power Query order your table by Issue_ID and ModifiedOn desending

2. Create an Index field PER Issue_ID. This way, the latest entry will get 0 value for Index column

3. You can use "Index = 0" for slicing the report

I bet you can also approach this without Power Query with some DAX (such as EARLIER...)

Actually, your response plus this thread helped me figure it out I think.

I couldn't find a unique ID to enter in the "Filter," in the linked thread, but your Issue_ID idea helped peg it down.

With that, I didn't need the Indexing.
