Filter the report by dynamic date filter even though if there is no relation

Hi All,

I met with one of urgent requirement that: I had a stored procedure in which someone had given startdate and enddate as parameters with limit that startdate is first day of current month and enddate is today but the requirement is in report I need a slicer where the date should be not bound to the stored proc used for report I need a seperate slicer where it is going to take last 2 years dates but while filtering the slicer it should filter the report that is used by stored proc also. Please kindly help me on this.

That's exactly what my reply is and also mentioned in the docs. Seems like you completely missed that.

No @parry2k  with Import i didn't find bind to parameter option after creating data table. In one of the posts I find that we need to provide it as Direct Query to find the option bind to parameter.

@Anonymous2809 there are two way to solve it, don't filter the data in the stored procedure, get everything or use Dynamic M query parameters, read here Dynamic M query parameters in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
