Filter table by clicking on column?

Is there any visual or option to enable filtering by the column heading on a data table?

It seems like it would be EXTREMELY useful to be able to just click on a header and filter like how you can in Excel on a table.

(Same as how you can in SPO lists as well for example)

I'm not aware of a custom visual that allows for this outside of something overkill like SandDance, but you could put slicers set to drop-down on top of the columns, just make sure you've manually resized the columns so they stay aligned. It ain't perfect, but it's a start.

I think it's worth noting that this is intentional to some degree, given the fact that Power BI looks at the context of the whole page, rather than just one single table. Typically, if your table is being filtered, you want everything else to filter as well, so it makes more sense in most situations to have a slicer anyway.

True it would need to be a feature where it filters the whole page in the same way clicking a row inside the table filters the paage (depending how the table filters are set to interact)
