Filter report by logged in user to SharePoint

Hi,

I'm trying to createa dashboard using P_BI and it have created it, but would like the ability to filter based on the current user logged in to SharePoint Online. The reason for this is that the statistical data portrayed in the report comes from a SharePoint list for the whole department, so when the users go to it they can only see their own stats, not everyone elses.

I tried the steps on this link but it didn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,

You said it doesn't work, I want to know which parts don't work? You need to make sure you have user permission dataset to map with data, then you need to use USERPRINCIPALNAME ( ) in role setting in powerbi776.PNG

If you use username(), you need to set map user in powerbi  service.

Best Regards,
Zoe Zhi

Hi @Anonymous ,

You could create permission like below

805.PNG

You could refer to introduction-to-row-level-security-in-power-bi  for details.
