Filter on one level without affecting the whole visual

I have a visual that has values that are accmulating monthly. The accumulation is done in sql because powerbi adds values to months that we haven't reached yet. So the table that I am using on SQL has quarters and months and Im using them on the drill down functionality. However when I drill down for the quarters it adds all the accumulated values. I decided I will only populate the 3rd month of the year to get my quarterly accumulation. The trick worked however there's a bar on the bar graph that has blank quarters. If I could hide this from the user that will great. Now when I exclude the blank values, when you drill down to the months the visual has filtered all the months that don't have quarter actuals. Is there a way u can hide a column or bars on a graph withoout filtering? Please assist urgently
