Filter multiple queries withour relationship

Hi,

I am trying to map two different queries of sales team, billed data and sales pipeline data, which have data across multiple ranges months, products and sales persons.

Both queries have no unique identifiers, so there is no way to relate them (they are logically unrelated aswell).

In dashboard, there are graphs of total billed and pipe, I want to apply a filter on product, which is applied to both the graphs. (Please note, there are some products in billed data which are not in pipe)

In a long shot, I can create additional table with unique product value and use it as a filter, but I want to apply there are many such filters.

I am new to PowerBI, kindly pardon if there are misuse of jargon. Looking forward to your help.

Hi @ONCKdata,

You could create a third table to get the unique column Manufacture, then you can create the relationships with the tables.

1. Create the third table in Query Editor by Append Queries as new.

2. You could remove other columns and the Duplicate rows.

Capture.PNG

3.Create relationships among the tables like below.

4. Then you could create the Slicer with Manufacture in Append table.

For reference, you could have a look at my test pbix file which has been attached below.

Hi @ONCKdata

You want to create two reports and the reports have no relationship?

Besides, the filter only work in one report or mutiple visuals and pages.

I 'm not very clear about your requirement.

If it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario and show your expected output, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

Hi, thank you for the reply.

Sorry, I might have conufused you with misused terminology. (I have tried to correct the message)

I am attaching the sample file in below link.

As you can see, there are currently two different filters for manufacturer. I am looking for a solution to have common filter which can be applied to both graphs.
