Hi,
i have a date slicer and want to ensure that users only can select a period of time within the same year.
So there is the filter "show items where the value is in this year". That's great, but restricts the report period to the current year. What i need is to give users the option to swith to another year and select e.g. a 2023 date priod - 15.02.2023 to 18.06.2023 as long as the period does not affect more than one year.
Is there a way to do this?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi @tester12 ,
Thanks for @Anonymous 's sharing.
Please try to put the year column into the slicer.
This will only filter within the same year.

Hi,
With "Year" column in the slicer one can't use the "Between" Slicer Style. You find only vertical list or dropdown style. So users would have to click manually the days they want to filter, they won't have the option to choose from-date and till-date

But this won't avoid users to select time periods that extents one calender year?
When i restrict the year to 2022, 2023, 2024, users can select 01.05.2022 - 15.03.2024, this is not what i need.
You can add a page or report level filter and specify the years and Lock the filter so the user can not change.
