Hello Everyone!

I am trying to create a dashboard in which every visual throughout each page ideally depends on two slicers for which a value must be always selected.

  1. Period: WTD, MTD, QTD, YTD
  2. Date:
    • If User selects WTD in Period, then Date slicer should be able to see dates in the format “mm/dd/yyyy”.
    • If User selects either MTD, QTD, or YTD in Period, the Date slicer should be able to see values as Month and Year in the format “MMM yyyy”
    • Consider both the slicers to be ‘Dropdown’ slicers with ‘Single Select’ selection.

Data Information:

  • Period table needs to be created.
  • Date column is present in the data table in the format “mm/dd/yyyy”.

The issue I am facing currently is that I am unable to implement this directly, but if it is a possibility I would prefer that approach. If there is an approach using bookmarks that would be great too as long this doesn't increase complexity when it comes to implementing this in all the pages of the report.

I would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions that could help me with this problem.

Thank you!

Hi @vishbabariya

Can you try this approach

Two Date slicers and one Period slicer controlled by bookmarks

Create a Period table (WTD, MTD, QTD, YTD).Create a Date table with Date (dd/mm/yyyy) || Month Year (MMM yyyy). Add two Date slicers - Date || Month Year. Create two bookmarks, WTD - Date slicer visible. MTD/YTD - Month-Year slicer visible. Then Link bookmarks to Period slicer buttons (or use Selection pane).

@vishbabariya You should be able to create your slicers on a page and then copy, sync and hide those slicers on every other page. This way, setting the slicers affects every single page in the report.
