Hello!
I am trying to filter a Date/Time field by a Date/Time Parameter (for incremental refresh). I created the parameters for RangeStart and RangeEnd, but when I go into filter the table, I am unable to select the parameter from the menu. All of the dates are in Date/Time format.
In every video I've seen, other people have the ability to select "Parameter" from a drop-down in the Date Filters menu. That option is never presented to me. What am I doing wrong?
You have to apply filter in Power Query Editor only. If still you're facing an issue for the column with Date data type, convert it into Date/Time data type. Because the parameter option is visible only for columns having Date/Time data type.
Hi @Anonymous ,
I encountered similar issue as you earlier on, then I realized that the data type I set in the Parameter is not the same as the column field which I was about to apply filter. Once changing them to the same, you will be able to see the [Parameter] as a selection options when you try to filter the date.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
SL
hi @Anonymous
it seems you are setting a parameter in Power Query Editor but using it in Power BI Desktop. This won't work. Try to do both in Power Query Editor or Power BI Desktop.
