Filled Map using Mexico municipalities
Hello, I am trying to visualize various regions by color coding municipalities in Mexico based on their inclusion in the subject region. I have not been able to get very good coverage and I assume it has to do with spelling errors between the list of municipalities I have in an Excel file and the Bing Maps municipality layer. Can anyone provide a source for the list of municipalities in Bing Maps?... or any other guidance if you think I'm headed down the wrong path. Thanks
Hi GyFatz ,
Maybe you can try to use Shape map to show Mexico states:
- Files -> Option and settings -> Options -> Preview features -> enable ‘Shape map visual’, restart power bi desktop
- You can choose ‘Mexico states’ map to use under Shapes menu in Format pane, or if you have any .json file with custom map, you can also import to use
For further information about shape map, you can refer the following Microsoft document:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/desktop-shape-map
