  • What triggers this error? Is it just when opening a specific report? Or when trying to refresh a given report? Or something else?

    Hi stpetrucci ,

Do you use custom visuals? A few users got the error message while using them. And they resolved it by reinstalling Power BI Desktop. Maybe you could have a try.

    1. Please delete your desktop firstly.

    2. Delete the Cache and CEF folders in the paths as below.

    C:\Users\username\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App

    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop

    3. Reinstall your Power BI desktop and try again.

If this can't help you, I think you could create a support ticket to get the dedicated support.

    Best Regards,

I had a similar issue.  Deleting the "C:\Users\username\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App" fixed the issue.

      Thanks! v-xuding-msft
