Fields containing URLs in Salesforce are being converted to Java when imported
Hi all,
I'm facing an issue with getting data from SF into PowerBI.
All data is imported using the report function and has a direct connection.
All columns are importing without any issues, except for one. In Salesforce this column is used to refer to tickets in a external system and is filled with a URL to the ticket in that system.
This is what it looks like in the report from SalesForce:
But when importing that report into PBI, I'm getting the following:
So, it's basically changing the URL into Javascript, which makes the information itself rather useless in the report I'm creating (as the audience needs these links to investigate issues).
Do you have any idea on why this is happening and if this issue can be solved?
Thanks for the help!
Jurgen

You can easily un-escape that string and recover the original URL. %3A is : and %2F is / etc.

Hi,
apologies, missed your reply completely. I'll have a look if this can be used as a structural solution, but will be quite puzzling to get the correct format.
Thanks for the suggestion.
