Is there a way to manually order the items of a query or table in the Fields section of Power BI desktop? It always organizes everything in alphabetical order. I'd like all my dimension fields at the top and my numerical fields at the bottom and all my measures below that. I'm trying to avoid having to put an a, b, c or 1,2,3 in front of all my field names in order to do this.
Currently shown.
day_of_business - dimension
franchisee - dimension
net_sales,
net_transactions
revenue_center - dimension
sales per transaction - calculated measure
store_id - dimension
Ideally would like to look like this...
store_id - dimension
franchisee - dimension
day_of_business - dimension
revenue_center - dimension
net_transactions
net_sales,
sales per transaction - calculated measure
Hi @Humpjs,
Consider inserting a sort order field (which serves as an anchor) in the order which you'd like.
Then for that field, go to Modeling>Sort by Column and choosing your sort order field.
