Field Parameter from Dataset Not Working in Report

I have a field parameter working great in the data model.

However, when I connect to the model via report, I do not see all the fields.

Do I need to create field parameters on a per report basis with a local model?

 

Any help is appreciated.

    I am not sure why, but a day later this started working as expected. I am unsure of any changes that took place to make it work. We ended up with the field param on the dataset file.

    Anonymous those columns are hidden by default, unhide and then you will see it.

    Anonymous Also in the local file, see if turning on "show hidden items" can show these columns.

      thank you Parry- unhiding the column does show them, but the parameter still doesn't behave as expected.

    Anonymous very hard to tell why. Just wondering which columns from the field parameter table you are using on the slicer?
