Fetching datas from an Excel file without the filters

Hello all,
I am working with an Excel file located on a OneDrive folder and i have connected this file to PowerBI through a Dataflow on my workspace. The problem is, if any people is modifying or applying filters and save the Excel file with, when my dataflow fetching the data, he takes the data with all the filters that people selected. Is there any solution to fetch the entire excel file, with all the data and not only the selected?

 Thank you for your response,

Hello @Mikelytics,

Thank you for your response, I do everything like you did, except the Web API connector, but my dataflow is fetching the data source file in a OneDrive folder in my organisation, maybe the problem is link to the Excel file ? I think there is an option who is selected in the Excel settings or in the PowerBI dataset settings. It is weird that i am the only one to have this kind of issue.

Best regard,

Louis

Maybe you should try the web api connector? you only need to provide the link from the file like this.

get the path in the file under information

Before you use it please make sure to take away the end of the link (?web=1)

Then you can use it in the web api with organizatoon authentication.

Best regards

Michael

Hi @Anonymous

I tried to replicate what you describe but in my case the filters are not applied. Pleqase see below:

Excel in OneDrive with data in sheet and filtered

Excel in OneDrive with data in table and filtered

After connecting to the file in data flow with Web API connector the filters are not applied:
