Hi,
I am combining multiple .xlsx files from a folder and upon loading the trnaformed data in Power query, following error is observed:
Record (2)
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'COM error: Microsoft.PowerBI.Client.OleDbProvider, Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Mashup.Document, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. Strong name validation failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013141A). '.
Query parameters
Parameter2
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'COM error: Microsoft.PowerBI.Client.OleDbProvider, Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Mashup.Document, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. Strong name validation failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013141A). '.
I tried solutions over this forum about checking data type change, auto detection of relationship before load etc, but nothing worked.
I am making some transformation in 'Transform Sample File' and then loading it.
It seems It is related with some name dependency, but not sure where to look for?
Please suggest a solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Thanks. Mine is 64 bit and so its not a problem. Eventually I could solve the problem, by Recreating the query coping from Advanced editor and just that. Now there are problems.
Hi @mahenkj2
Please check your version of the Power BI Desktop, it maybe affected by the version, if your computer is 64-bit, make sure you have installed the 64-bit version, if your computer is 32-bit, make sure you have installed the 32-bit version, you can refer to the following link.
