Facing Some Issues with Core i5 Laptop and Power BI Desktop Version 2.119.843.0 - Any Advice?

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm currently experiencing some issues with my Core i5 laptop while using Power BI Desktop Version 2.119.843.0. The problems seem to be affecting my ability to work efficiently and I’m not sure how to resolve them.

Here’s a brief overview of the issues:

  1. Performance: The application is running slower than expected, which is impacting my productivity.
  2. Compatibility: There seem to be occasional crashes or glitches when running specific reports.
  3. Data Handling: I’m having trouble with certain data visualization features, which may be due to system limitations or software settings.

I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps, such as updating the drivers and ensuring that all software updates are installed, but the issues persist.

Has anyone experienced similar problems or have any advice on how to address these issues? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @yashsharma20 ,
According to your description, your desktop is running with errors and is slow. This may be due to the fact that your laptop's memory is being used up with less allocated resources. The slow report may be due to the large amount of data you have. You can use power bi Performance Analyzer to determine which visualization is running slowly. Since we can't determine the exact cause of your error, you can provide a screenshot of the error so that we can help you faster. You can also try to download the latest version of power bi desktop.
You can check the following documentation to solve the problem
