I wasn't successful with Graph API and connecting the metrics I need to PowerBI from Facebook and apparently I can't pull engagement data from GraphAPI.
Has anyone worked on connecting Facebook's Marketing analytics data (engagemente rate, impressions, location/gender info...etc) to PowerBI?
I've heard about Curl REST API but I haven't used it and not sure where to begin. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello. In this case, as a workaround you can export directly FB Ads data to PBI using a 3rd party connector, I think that option will save you a lot of time and is way easier than using Graph API or REST API. I currently use Windsor.ai's connector for my FB data and I haven't had any issue so far. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Facebook Ads connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Facebook Ads account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your FB fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
Hi @Anonymous,
You can refer to the below links which includes some samples about use web connector with rest API authorizations:
