Facebook Access Token gives error: 400 - Bad request

Dear all,

Via a client of ours we recieved the question about inserting a Facebook Access Token into PowerBI.

Every time they want to insert this token they recieve a "400 - Bad request" error.

I can't find a solution nor find out the reason for this error.

Does anyone has an idea about solving this problem?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Cornee

  • Hi Anonymous ,

The facebook connector uses a third-party Facebook API, the API may change in a way that affects the results of the queries we generate. As mentioned in the document: Facebook connector for Power BI Desktop at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-facebook-connector

In some cases, certain queries may no longer be supported. Due to this dependency, we cannot guarantee the results of your queries when using this connector.

As a workaround, we can consider using other connector to get data from Facebook, for example, we can get data from Facebook API using Python, PowerBI can accept the result of Python.

    Best Regards,

    Teige

Thank you TeigeGao for your response.

We will try to use another connector.
