Fabric Copilot for Power BI
Hi Everyone,
I am researching the Fabric Copilot feature in Power BI, and I hope you can advise on the following questions!
- Is the inbuild feature available for all Power BI users, or do I need a specific license?
- Are there any (other) requirements to implement/ in order to use this feature?
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Glo
Hi Glo2002 -Copilot feature in Power BI, currently in preview, is not available to all users by default. It requires a Microsoft Fabric license, specifically one that includes Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium capacities. This means that to use Copilot in Power BI, you'll need to be part of an organization with one of these licenses or use the Microsoft Fabric trial.
Beyond licensing, other key requirements include enabling Copilot in your Power BI environment, which might involve admin-level configuration if you're not already working in a supported Fabric environment. Additionally, the availability of Copilot depends on whether it's enabled by the IT administrator for your workspace.
