Extract Data from a column

I have a column of data, with two different values in the column.   I need to measure that data against each other, so I need to add another column and split the data.   Any ideas?   I tried adding a column and doing an IF statement but it still connects to the original column.

No, one value is Stop and the other value us Non Stop
