We need assistance with this, please follow along, question is at the bottom.

The only export option is listed under “Export” and the only excel option is to export data to Pivot table, which is not always ideal.

Select a data element to “Drill Through” to review Detail Report.

In the detail report when you hover your mouse next to the ß (arrow) user has the ability to see “more options”

User has a function to export the data

You are now able to export the data and it’s available in .xlsx format.

What we need to find out is what makes these two reports behave differently?  In the first visualization there is no ability to select “more options” when in the detailed report.  The 2nd report allows that ability and in turns allows you to export data to excel spreadsheet.

Thanks,

@dora123 , If you click on the visual and you do not see three dots, it means before publish, header properties have been disabled. On desktop it does not make any difference, but on service, you will not see that

I do not see this screen in my Power BI, and only seem to have the option to export to a csv file, which does not work for me. How do I get this screen? FYI: I'm using Power BI Desktop:
