I am getting this message when attempting to export data, I could export data before. I didn't change any settings. Any assistance/advise would be very helpful☺.
Could this potentially be a temporary system issue???
Solved! Go to Solution.
When exporting data from a report visual to .xlsx (Excel), the maximum number of rows you can export is 150,000.
When exporting to .csv, the limit is 30,000 rows.
For matrix visuals exporting with “Data with current layout”, the limit is 150,000 data intersections. Because a “row” in a matrix can have multiple intersections, the effective number of rows you see in Excel may be smaller.
When using DirectQuery, there is an additional limit: the export request is capped at 16 MB uncompressed data. This can further reduce the number of rows you actually can export.
However, usually you get a friendly warning that the rows have been reduced for the export...

any chance you have exceeded the export data limit?
Is there a limit for this? 🤔

HI @klaisjohn
Just checking. Is the excel export enabled in Power BI desktop for this report? Did something change recently on the report side or on the data side?
Hey Pragati, Thank you for your response ☺, Like i said in the post, I have not made ant adjustments to the settings. Even doesn't know where the settings are, and I am not a techy enough to mess with that area.
Good day!
HI @klaisjohn
Is someone else the owner of the report and you have been given access to it?
