Hi,
I need to have a button in my dashboard to download the visual data in csv file .
If we click on three dots we can manually export the data but i need a button for exporting . If i click the button it should export data of that dashboad /sheet in csv.
Hello @nish18_1990
Power BI does not natively support adding a button within a report to export visual data directly to a CSV file. While users can manually export data using the three-dot menu on visuals, creating a one-click export button inside the report isn’t currently possible through default features.
However, a workaround is to use the Power Automate visual within Power BI. This allows you to trigger a flow that can export data when the user clicks a button, but it requires configuring Power Automate and is best suited for summarized tables. Another advanced option is to use paginated reports, which support export features more flexibly but require a Premium license. For those embedding Power BI into a custom app, developers can use the JavaScript API to create export buttons with more control. Each approach comes with its own requirements and trade-offs depending on your environment.
Thanks
