Export Power BI Audit data to excel

Hello All,

We have a requirement where our customers want to Automate their Audit process. The process is currently being done in excel where the auditors have a predefined set of questions and then they go to the source systems and check the data and then answers the questions in Yes/No and provide their comments.

We are planning to Automate this and zeroing in on Power BI to connect to all the source systems and define a set of parameters for Yes/No and then export the Audit for that project in excel and save it.

The current excel looks like the image attached.

Can someone please help me find a solution for this implementation.Audit.jpg

Hi! @Kish1999

Power Automate will help in this case as well, you can create a button to export your report or best approach would be what @suparnababu8 suggested you should have it with power automate, once your auditor has completed their audit and you can trigger the flow maybe after comments are added or whatever last step they have is completed and that will send them the exported excel or maybe drop in a shared folder.
Or a button can also be added to export it manually - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnTipbooeP0

Hi @Kish1999

You can do this process by using Power Automate. Power Automate to schedule the export of the audit report to Excel at regular intervals.

Thanks!

Hello @suparnababu8 , Thank You for your reply!!

My requirement is to have the report exported once an Auditor completes their Audit and they press a button or something. Exporting at Regular intervals won't work here i think.

Hello @AnkitKukreja , I can connect to the sources and get the data. The problem i have is how can i let the users enter their remarks and once they are done, export all the data in an excel in the format similar to the one in the attached image. Can you please provide some pointers related to this.

Hi! @Kish1999

You can use Power Apps to use the write-back functionality.

Hi! @Kish1999

There are so many sources that Power BI can connect to and the ask you have here seems it can be achieved. You need to figure out if sources that your organization uses are available within this list and then you have to outline the steps for your problem, what you are asking is achieveable.
