Export Data with current layout is greyed out on Power Bi Service.

Hi,

My app has Row level security enabled and "Data with current layout" option is disabed on Cloud.

I've enabled export data option. If Row Level Security is disabled, I can then export the data.

Question - how can I export data on cloud when Row Level Security is enabled? Thanks

I doubt it. It is by design that it doesn't work that way since RLS is at the row-level. Row-level data would need to be exported, not summarized data.

Just a table with rows of data

Ahh - sorry, I missed where you mentioned RLS is enabled.

This feature (exporting with current layout) doesn't respect RLS settings. If row-level security is enabled, you cannot export data with the current layout in the Power BI service. You can only export data that is visible to all users.

Thanks for the quick reply. Not sure if other users have similar issue(s), as, I guess, this should be a standard feature. Do you know if MS will address this?

What type of visual are you trying to export the data with current layout?
