Existing relationship not working

Hi All,

I have two tables that share a common field "project code". in order to associated them (they have duplicates in them), I created a third table containing only one column "prject code" without errors nor duplicates. I have then created the relationship between these three tables. However, whenever i tried to combine the data from the two main tables, I always get an error message 'cant display the visual'.

How can I solve it?

Thanks!

Hi @davide00,

seems to me that your problem is that the Actuals value in the Detail analysis is in the wrong format as you can see in the values you have First Actuals if this is a number you should have sum but since you dont have the E simbol on your table it means that your information is as text and not number.

Check the formating of the columns.

Hi @davide00,

be aware that to combine the information from this tables you need to use in the visuals the project code that you made in the table withouut duplicates and not any of the other project codes columns.

Hi Felix,

Thank you for your help.

However, despite selecting the project code from the new table, whenever I tried to combine data from the indirectly linked tables, I got an error.

Any other mistake I could have made?

Can you explain and add a small print of hwat you want to achieve?

My goal is to display how much every cost center has spent over the year, based on the spend of the various projects.

I am now trying to link the two tables on the left through the project code (for which I have created the additional table). I want to get the actual spend of the various projects from the 'Detail Analysis table', and then link them with 'PO Date' and 'Cost Center' from the 'Open and closed PO table', which also contain project codes.

this is the result:

Why is everything 0??

Update: I managed to link the tables by establish a both filter direction. However, the number in the table do not make sense since they seem to duplicate, and the total column is always wrong. Any possible solutions?

Hi Felix,

It was eventually a simple problem of label format, as you suggested. Thank you!

However, I do not understand why whenever I change the name of a column from visual, I get an error sayinf that the column can no longer be found. Any suggestion?
