Exercise: Create reusable Power BI assets. Get data > Web is greyed out and could not be selected.

Topic: Microsoft Learn: Exercise: Create reusable Power BI assets

https://microsoftlearning.github.io/mslearn-fabric/Instructions/Labs/16-create-reusable-power-bi-ass...

Issue: Exercise: Create reusable Power BI assets. [Get data > Web] is greyed out and could not be selected on my home PC, nor the company PC. See below for details.

Add a new table to your report

In this task, you’ll add a new table because the semantic model doesn’t have all of the data you need.

  1. In Power BI Desktop, navigate to Get data > Web to add the new data.

This question is related to the following Learning Module

Microsoft Power Platform Training.
---------------------------------------------------------
Things I have tried:

1. used my home PC with no firewall restrictions.

2.  installed the latest version of Power BI
3. the privacy settings have been changed from 'Combine data according to each file's Privacy Level settings' to 'Always ignore Privacy Level settings.'

4.  tried the Query Editor (Home > Transform Data > New Source > Web); however, the 'Home > Transform Data > Transform Data' option is also grayed out

 5. tried using an empty Project [without the semantic model], and  [Get data > Web] is NOT greyed out .
