Hi all,
I’m using Direct Lake over OneLake and trying to run DAX queries via the executeQueries REST API.
I’m not looking for docs — only real, working REST examples.
Looking for someone who has actually done this to share:
The exact REST endpoint used for executeQueries
Headers (auth + content-type)
The exact JSON body that worked (simple DAX like EVALUATE TOPN(10, Table))
How you authenticated:
Service principal or user
Required API permissions and workspace role
Which semantic model ID you targeted for Direct Lake over OneLake
Even sanitized Postman or curl examples would help a lot.
Thanks!
Hi @jaryszek,
I’d suggest checking the documentation linked below. It explains the exact REST endpoint, required headers, and sample JSON requests, which should help you verify your setup and troubleshoot the issue.

Since you’re specifically looking for real, working examples, it would also be helpful if other community members who have done this recently could share their hands-on experience. Let’s wait and see if anyone else can add more practical examples or insights.
Thanks & Regards,
Prasanna Kumar
Thanks for the link.
Let's see if somebody run this succesfully with DirectLake...
Best,
Jacek
