Exclusive selections across multiple slicers
Hi Community.
This is related to another post of mine,
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Exclusive-Lists-in-Multiple-Slicers/m-p/2022546#M759906
which due to my failed approach was probably expressed in a confusing way, so I'm reframing the problem in simpler terms.
- One table with two columns: letters & numbers : A-Z ,numbered 1-26.
- I want 3 slicers showing all the letters for selection.
- Selecting letters in any slicer, should exclude them from being available for selection in all the other slicers.
- I then want 3 measures that sum the associated numbers of the letters selected in each slicer.
This sounds simple - so hopefully there is a simple way to architect it. Can anyone think of a way to achieve the objectives above?

Ahh sorry GryphonKD , I didn't think about that being a requirement. How about this one.

Hi GryphonKD , take a look at the .pbix linked below. I think it fits the requirements you describe.

Nice! Thats a neat way to do it. This almost does exactly what I need, but I notice it breaks down when selecting multiple values in the slicers; such that once you select more than one value, it no longer excludes them from the others, due to the singular nature of 'SELECTEDVALUE'
Any ideas how to extend on this to make it work for multi selection?- AnonymousNot applicable
