Exclude data from a bar graph based on what you selected in another bar graph

Hi folks,

This will be convoluted, so I can only apologise!

The model I work on is highly restricted so no DAX / power queries, etc are available.

I have two stacked bar charts. One chart has Name A field, the second chart is Name B field, and they both have the 'Occurrence' field.

If I click on a name from one chart, then the other chart will change to highlight the linked names. So if I pick 'John' from the Name A chart, in Name B, Brian and David will be highlighted out of all the names on that bar chart.

However this isn't intuitive to use, as the highlighted name could be way down the list and you'd need to scroll for quite some time to find it.

What I would ideally like, is that when you click on a name in either chart, every non-linked name (via the Occurrence field), would filter off the other chart, so you're just left with linked names at the top.

I hope that makes sense and any help greatly appreciated!

@Kilm0 - Quite a simple on this, it's controlled in "Options and settings". Go to Current File >> Report Settings and tick the box I've put in a green square below:
