Exclude State from Power BI Map
Hi,
I have sales data by US census division that i import to power bi to map out. I downloaded Topjson file and imported to Power BI to be able to make the map work. However map shows Alaska and Hawaii in addition to lower 48 states. I'd like to exclude Alaska and Hawaii so that it only shows lower 48 states in the map. Is this possible to do? Appreciate any help. Thanks
Alaska FPIS code is (02) and Hawaii (15). Maybe a code that helps exlude these FPIS from the map?
Hi dokat ,
Based on your description, you may need to customize the shape map.
Go to Google Maps, open "Your Places", Maps, and click Create Map. Start drawing your own map over the area of the world you are interested in tracing. I won't go into the details on how to draw a map, but you will find it fairly intuitive and easy. Use the polygon tool to trace around your custom areas.

dokat maybe add a visual or page level filter, add State column there, and select all States except Alaska or in the advance filter, where State is not equal to Alaska.
