Excel load issue.

Hi,

I'm using an excel sheet in the one drive to fetch my data and this gets updated periodically,

but even after the excel sheet is filled in with new data in the corresponding rows the power BI fails to load those rows.

But as soon as I open the file and close it without making any changes to it in one drive, the file gets updated and says "modified a few seconds ago" after that the power bi desktop loads all the data successfully. I've unchecked the automatically detect column types and headers. that doesn't still seem to work.

and if without modifying the file if I simply download the file and try to connect it locally then also the newly added rows aren't loading.

As mentioned power bi fails to load the updated amount of rows from the excel sheet. and the scheduled refresh also doesn't show up an error as such instead shows that the scheduled refresh was successful.

you can see the difference in the number of rows loaded successfully.

Please help.. Thanks 🙂

    Hi Anonymous ,

    I can't reproduce your problem.

Did you save the Excel file after you updated the data?

And which is your Power BI Desktop Version?

Maybe you can update Power BI Desktop to the newest Version then try again.

    Best regards,
