Excel file Data to PBI Report

Hello All,

 

We have xlsx file stored in sharepoint with  Target and Actual data which will be entered by specific person.


I have already created the visual tables in Report view in Power BI as the tables consists of headings as same in xlsx file with taget and actual column.

 

Now i am looking for whenever concered person enters the data or values every month (suppose January) in xlsx file under target and acutal columns and i want to see these values reflected in PBI report under same column  for that month. and Whenever he enters the data in february, then PBI report should take the values entered for february report.

 

Please help me in resolving this and suggestions would be great and appreciate your help in advance 

 

@amitchandak if you can help me on this with you ideas would be very great

The xlsx file has month under each category including actual, month and target columns but the PBI report i built in the report section using tables does not have month, so my question is if whenever the data is entered in january month of specific category in xlsx file will that be updated under same category in Report as well when we refresh the report

 

Now again when someone enters the values in february month in xlsx file stored in sharepoint, then  we refresh the PBI report in february, will the PBI report get the february values only as the report does not have month column.

@Anonymous , is there a difference in the file name or somewhere to know month, what is method we should use to know month
