Excel as a data source in PowerBI

I am looking for a way to improve our project in power bi.

We have a report created in power bi that is based on an excel file to which data is added weekly (about 400 records, unfortunately manually)
Why excel? Instant access to the data and some users from time to time need to modify the data a little (not delete it) in the source. Otherwise I would solve it differently.

Maybe a stupid question but is there any more elegant approach to this?
Or is there any way to change the source to a more stable one and at the same time allow quick editing of the data?

    I would recommend to publish the file on sharepoint and give relevant access to stakeholder (who would like to update the sheet) and use the sharepoint file as data source.

      Hi alekhved thanks for your reply. I did it exactly as you wrote. I just wanted to know if it is another way to approach this project.
