Idea: Introducing Excel-Style Table in Power BI
One of the most requested enhancements from business users is the ability to view and interact with data in a familiar, Excel-style table directly within Power BI. While Power BI offers powerful visuals like Matrix and Table, users often seek the look, feel, and interactivity of Excel — including easy column resizing, inline filtering, cell-based formatting, and copy/paste support.
Concept
An Excel-style Table visual would provide:
Native grid layout with cell-level formatting (font color, borders, background, alignment).
Inline filtering, sorting, and quick calculations (sum, average, count) just like Excel.
Support for column freeze, search, and conditional formatting per cell.
One-click export to Excel retaining table styling.
Optional formula bar view for exploring measure logic or calculations.
Why It Matters
This feature would bridge the gap between data analysis and presentation, helping users who rely on Excel for detailed tabular exploration feel more at home in Power BI. It also supports print-ready layouts, making it ideal for governance reports, audit views, and compliance dashboards.
Potential Impact

You may be missing the point of Power BI. If you need Excel style functionality then use Excel.
why dont you use excel insted. The purpose of Excel and Power BI is totally different. If you only need scalability of an excel sheet, use power pivot in excel and keep the file in sharepoint and share. You can make beautifull dashboards in excel as well.
