Excel Files And Gateway Cluster
Hi,
By default, if you upload a Power BI report whose data source is an Excel file, then by default does the Gateway Cluster name always 'Personal':
I do have a Gateway Cluster but in order for me to do a scheduled refresh I need to create a connection the Excel file with my running Gateway Cluster:

The Gateway connection is running according to your login and personal gateway level. If any time you update your password, please remember to go to Settings of this Gateway and Edit credential

Thanks for responding but I was wondering if every time you upload an Power BI report that is associated with an Excel file, the Excel file (by default) is just attached to the personal gateway. Thanks

Please map the folder, if all Excel files are kept in the folder, no need to create a separate connection for that.
In the gateway setting, you can select an existing connection
