All, another in the saga of excel from sharepoint. I'm attempting to pull data from an excel sheet in a sharepoint folder, but I'm being met with an "Access Denied" window.
I've attempted, as best I can to follow the directions here:
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Import-Data-from-an-Excel-sheet-in-SharePoint/td-p/47223
Including the method where you pull the excel down in desktop and fine the url via the doc info.
I'm at a total loss.
Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous,
Please check if you have installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop ( 2.66.5376.1681).
If not, please update it and test again. By my test with this new version, everything works as expected.
If it still have problem , please create a new pbix file and clear the Permission the data source of SharePoint you used before under Edit Queries>> Data source setting>>Global Permissions>> find the sharepoint source >> Clear Permissions.
Then you could get data again.
Best Regards,
Cherry
