Excel 2016: Refreshing a Table.Combine() query freezes Power Query
Hi experts,
I'm having a problem that haunts me from the beginning.
Basically I import two tables A and B with Power Query in Excel 2016. B has less columns than A but the available column headers are identical. I use a Table.Combine() to join the two tables. So far so good.
The problem is, whenever I have a problem with either A or B and I need to take an updated version (with exactly the same format and structure, just some numbers are changed) of A or B and refresh the three queries. Someho the Table.Combine() always freezes at the point. Since there is no output I have no idea what's happening.
My solution is to load a previous A and B from maybe one week ago, do the combine, and then load and most recent ones and do it again, and it won't freeze any more.
I know it sounds a bit absurd, but I'd appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

The latest version of Power BI Desktop seems to work well. You may try deselecting the options in File > Options and settings > Options > Data Load.
