Evaluate items in a table and classify status Month over Month (Existing - New - Closed)

I have a single table with a list of cases that will grow up along the time. Table contains some relevant fields like "CaseID", "Opened Date", "Closed Date", etc. I need to identify for Month 1 the composition based on it's status (New and Closed), for next month (Month 2) data needs to be compared with previous month to split the totals in New, Current, Closed cases and so on (next month should compare with previous month and split cases in the mentioned Categories (aka Status). Of course, this will be used later for creating visuals (e.g. stacked bars to compare months). I guess a new column or measure needs to be created, but I'm not an expert in DAX. Thanks for the help.

PS, I tried looking for a similar scenario in the forum, but had no luck with it.
