Hi @hemanyajain ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.

The error you are facing, "The change you were making failed to apply. We've refreshed the model for you, please try again" is a known issue that can arise due to several causes. Please check below things to fix the issue.

1. Validate your DAX, Use the DAX editor’s syntax checker. Try creating a simple measure like Test = 1 to see if the error persists.

2. Check all referenced fields exist and are spelled correctly. If you are using calculated tables or columns, confirm they are loaded before the measure.

3. Close and reopen the PBIX file. This clears temporary bugs.

4. Clear Cache and Temp Files, Go to File --> Options and Settings --> Options --> Data Load and clear cache. Also try to delete temp files from "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop".

5. Check for Schema Changes in Source data, If you are using DirectQuery, Check that no columns or tables were renamed or removed in Source data.

6. Create a new file and import the same data model. See if the issue replicates.

7. Try updating to the latest version. If you are on the latest version and still facing issues, roll back to a previous stable version temporarily.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.

Regards,

Dinesh

Hi @hemanyajain

Please provide more detail. Post the measure you're trying to add, a screenshot of the error, details about your dataset etc. Have you had this issue before? Any further information you can provide will be helpful.
