Error when trying to get data from Dataverse
- Anonymous4 years ago
Hi julianmaule ,
This is a generic access violation error, but we have sometimes seen it caused by antivirus software. Are you running any third-party (non-Microsoft) virus software? Uninstall them and reconnect to the data source.

Hi
Just as a follow-up.
With no way to remove/disable AV - which i am sure is an issue with most big organisations - i ended up with the following
- uninstall - reboot - reinstall - no difference
- run in compatability mode with Windows 7 - Yes - this has fixed the access violation. There are some interesting screen effects (blankings being the main one) but PowerBI now works successfully.
Should have thought earlier as this used to solve repetitive crashing about a year ago.
