Error when trying to export ".pbib" files (Power BI projects)

I was trying to use this new function to save PBI reports as projects (.pbib) and a error showed up:

This happens independently of the file, whether it's new or old.

When I export the .pbib file for the first time PBI saves it succesfuly:

But, when I try to overwrite it, it shows the following error:

tahechadv_2022_0-1687961294265.png

Translating:

It is not possible to save the document

Error trying to save
'...github\iowa_liquor_sales\iowa_liquor_sales.pbib'

The access to the file

'...github\iowa_liquor_sales\iowa_liquor_sales.Report\StaticResources\SharedResources\BaseThemes'

the access was denied

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

I'd like to implement this version control as soon as possible.

Hi @tahechadv_2022 ,

Even with your file I'm not abble to replicate the error.

You should try and send a message in the issues part of the forum:

The following steps describes what I did:

1. opened power bi

2. selected a data source

3. saved as ... pbib

4. Succesfuly saved.

When I make ANY change and try to save (using the save button) or following the same path "save as... pbib".

It returns me that access denied error.

I tried to save files for both "C :" and "D :" and in both cases, the same error occurs, even when I try to run PBI as admin.

Hi @tahechadv_2022 ,

I was not abble to replicate this issue on my version. Can make changes and not problems in saving them, I have tried making changes on a PBIP rigth after saving as, also closing and opening it.

Have you tried placing this post in the Issues part of the forum?

They are answered by MSFT and usually preety quick.

Hi @tahechadv_2022 ,

When you refer that you try to overwrite it what do you mean? Are you making the export again?

Do you want to export the PBIP to over itself?

On my test I was abble to do a overwrite using the save as PBIP once again even when going from the initial PBI file it overwrote everything.

What are the steps you are following?
