Anyone encounter the problem in power query editor when you right click and duplicate a query, and it says key already exisit.
When you click cancel, the whole power query still collapse and you have to unsave and close it.
It starts to happen today when version updated to Version: 2.144.679.0 64-bit (June 2025).
Instead, it still works when you copy all code from the query and paste it into a blank query.

Hello @Tom_Y
When you duplicate a query, Power BI shows an error like:
“Key already exists”
Then it freezes or crashes, forcing you to exit Power Query without saving changes.
Try this
Open the query you want to duplicate.
Go to Advanced Editor.
Copy all the M code.
In Power Query, go to Home > New Source > Blank Query.
Open Advanced Editor of the new query and paste the code.
If this solution helps, please accept it and give a kudos (Like), it would be greatly appreciated.
