Error when connecting to analysis service
im trying to connect to a multidimensional cube and i get this error:
AnalysisServices: Internal error: An unexpected error occurred (file 'mddiscovermd.cpp', line 230, function ' MDDiscoverMD:: SerializeRowToXML').
anyone have a solution for this?

Hi birgirs,
To narrow down this issue, could you try using SSMS which is on the same computer that you have Power BI Desktop installed to connect to the multidimensional cube to see if the connection works? :smileyhappy:

i have tested connecting to the cube with SSMS and it works fine
and also Excel with no problem

So the issue may lie on Power BI Desktop side. However, I'm not able to reproduce this issue on my environment with the latest version(2.47.4766.801) of Power BI Desktop.
In this scenario, I would suggest you create a support ticket on Power BI Support page for better assistance on it. :smileyhappy:
