Error when connecting to My SQl

Hello, 

I am trying to connect power bi to my local sql database  and am getting the following error 

I'd really appreciate your guidance on the following.

Hi@jp25， 

Please ensure the following points:

1.You are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop and the latest .net driver. if not, you can click Here.

2.Your MySQL workbench is installed in the same machine as Power BI Desktop.

3.If the connection is successful in MySQL workbench, please use the same connection string and make sure that you use Database credential in Power BI Desktop to connect to the MySQL database.

We have found that people have previously had similar errors occurred, please see if this helps you. Unable to connect to MySQL Server

@jp25 , 1. Make sure external access for the user is allowed

2. Mysql is up and running 

3. Make sure latest .net drive is installed https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/
