Hi gpn_pbi ,
I downloaded and installed the latest version (2.103.661.0 64-bit (March 2022)) of Power BI Desktop and opened one pbix file in it and the file works fine.
I also tried it in the previous version of Power BI Desktop(Version: 2.102.845.0 64-bit (February 2022)), the pbix file can work well in it.
What is your Power BI Desktop version number? Could you please share your pbix file with me if it doesn't involve any private information? So I can test it later on my end to see if it opens properly.
And here is a thread with the same problem as yours, you can refer to the solution(rollback to previous versions) to try to solve your problem.
Unable to open document we weren't able to restore the saved database to the model
Refer to these two articles, maybe it will work well(One is to roll back the version and the other is to change the path):

Previous monthly updates to Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service
Best Regards
