Error message; xyz.pbix is damaged and cannot be opened with Power BI Desktop

Dear all,

 

While saving the concerned file last time, i had problems with my PC and I could not close PBI Desktop regularly on Friday.

This morning I tried to open the file and got the following message:

What can I do now? Is there any chance to get this file opened again? It was a tragedy if not...😩

I restarted my PC and after it...it worked again. 🙂

@Orstenpowers , Open a blank file, and check the version under file -> About.

 

If this is because of Feb 2022 version, Then you can install an older version and try
